Alcohol has been around and accepted for thouands of years. Marijuana in the US has always connoted a lower life style. It like Cocaine were effectively banned as illegal substances by acts of Congress largely bourn out of stereotypical Southern Democrates who blammed the chemicals on black disobediance.

You can get stoned on either on and still abuse your kids. Alcohol and Marijuana is not harmful only when one abuse the substance.To me both the alcohol, marijuana, cigarettes all should be declared illegal and something should be done to stop all sales of them. So what run all the producer's out of business.

No, you just get stoned & stab your kids to death thinking they are a giant spider. Or jump off a building thinking you are a bird, this happened to a friend of mine twice. The only time my dad ddn't beat me when I was a child was when he was drunk.

well my friends mom would beat her if she was stoned or not, and if the government made pot legal and sold it they would but otehr **** in to it..f*u*k that..im not really sure if more ppl get in trouble when their stoned, or drunk,..casue ppl hav crazy ideas when their stoned, but their to lazy *like me* to do it, and when r drunk ur not like hellz yeah bring ur beer and lets go for it.
well thats how me and my friends are, were kinda glade that pot is illegal but kinda not.

yea but if pot were legal and everyone smoked it then productivity in business would go way down...unemployment way up....more money would be spent on weed because of its addictiveness...etc...there are a ton of reasons why weed is illegal, and i see your point i mean alcohol is also bad, because its addictive and has several effects on your body but it also rakes in a lot of money with its taxes, its just a political thing

You might not but some one could. but people r gonna do it and I had the same question make it legal and maybe it could be controlled somewhat.

Exactly. It is the craziest thing on earth. Makes absolutely no sense at all. Personally I think we have a basic right to it. Booze is so bad and destructive to society. INSANE!!!!

I hear you , smoke weed and you chill, but have you ever been around a drunk thats fun, lets see slurring words, hanging all over you and not to mention most drunks drive

because the government can't tax it and how could they compete with the stronger pot we'd get off the street then the kind the government would allow.

although i wish you had phrased it better, i agree. people get into much more trouble when they are drunk then when they are stoned.
