If your thermostat is on 75 and you want it on 70, what is the correct terminology? Do you "raise" or "lower" the thermostat? I say lower, my
husband says raise. The winner cooks for the loser on this one.

Of course you "lower" the thermostat.
When you raise it you are asking for a higher temperature.
So, hubby, what are you gonna cook?

Hope your husband is a good cook. If not, you can always go out to eat. It's lower.
