i know they try to get cheap labor, but dogs and cats cant cook, dont be ridiculous

In USA no.

It is estimated that up to 10 million dogs are slaughtered every year in China, many deliberately slowly and cruelly in the belief that "torture equals taste", whilst all suffer the stress and pain of being farmed in concentrated numbers before being killed in a variety of ways which rarely ensures a quick and humane death.

Cats are too stringy.
Dog is much better.
So, you will only find dog on the menu at the better chinese resturants.

in china, dog yes, cat no. they have a feral dog problem, so not a matter of cost, its a matter of you go bludgeon or shoot a wild dog, and youve got meat. here in amerika, while we may have porr food guidlines, we arent russia. by the way, if you go, dont eat their "hot dogs", they're made partialy form humans. which raises the question, where do they get the people. im not saying our hotdogs dont have bad things in them, cause there is (cockroaches, rats, beetles... ect...) just in amerika, there is no people. and cannibalism isnt healthy for any speices, in fact is very unhealthy for almost evry speices. but i huess with it in such low amounts what doesnt kill you only makes you stronger, or possibly sick and then stronger.
but here in amerika there is no dog so dont worry about eating lassie.

I would think thats a myth. Because in American you have food guidelines.
And plus I read somewhere that Pork is cheaper in china...so why would they kill dogs and cat?
Besides that; they're not barbarians.

I'm sure not all of it is, but you can buy whole skinned dog heads in China.
