Try Ross, Marshalls or TJ Maxx. TJ Maxx will usually have a 'younger' selection, but I got a great dress at Ross for $3--it really is a gamble every time.

But those are your best bets--or try a thrift store. I swear I get more compliments on my thrift store finds than on the stuff I buy new..

Girl...nothing like waiting until the last minute! $20 may get you a cool dress at a thrift store. Hit the malls and go to the clearence items!!!!
Can you borrow one from a friend...give her the $20.

good luck.

What you do is check out neighborhood garage sales or try some thrift shops...Goodwill...Savers etc. I know a lot of people that dress very trendy that find adorable outfits at thrift stores and you pay a fraction of the price of department stores.

you should make one. Chop up some stuff you don't wear anymore and make something new out of it. My girlfriend just did it. It ended up being nearly free. only thing you may need is thread and a needle. and plus if it doesn't suck when you're done, you can brag about how cool your are for making your own clothes.
