Well... if it's rock, then wear black and boots and cool makeup. If u r pop, then cool colors like purple and red and blue. DO NOT LOOK TOO SLUTTY, there's no second chance to make a first impression!!!

if your pop dress pop
punk with punk
darkwave w/ darkwave etc
but your clothing style has nothing to do with your music
im in a band called Hell's Saints and ive played shows in a white T-Shirt and jeans and ive played shows in bondage pants and a see through shirt

Without meeting you and your friends in person its hard to be specific, but wearing something tight and revealing but not too much 'in your face', might make the required impession.
