some do. some people support it, like me, but other just want it to be over with. so yes americans do support the war but there is a small percentage that doesn't.

I think the mind set in America is that if we go to war we will support those we ask to fight and attempt to finish the job once started. This is a direct result of the the Vietnam war that was fought and paid for with the lives of 58000 American soldiers and countless wounded without achieving strategic victory over North Vietnam or the NLF. ..

I supported going into Afghanistan, I do not support the war in Iraq.
I do not disrespect or hate the service people, they are doing what they were told to do.
I do have a problem with the administration who put them in harm's way and further destabilized the region.

I don't personally believe in war. I think we could have taken other actions. But I am not the type of person who will speak against the men and women who are over there. They are doing what they believe is right and I hope they all come back alive.

america is just the name assumed by a group of people who built borders and a way of living...the name america came from a sailor.....it is cherished by many of the people living there because theyfound a place where they could live and give a worthwhilness to their country......other countries do the same....put up borders and boundries....sometimes to protect their religeons...or their customes and languages.....one country even tried to build a big stone wall around it.....some borders are like fences....to keep some out....to keep some in...sometimes people mistakenly make $a border........this is valued in american dollars or euros...or pesos....and today the value of one is not the same as another,,,,,and you may not be able to by wheat or rice or beef....and they call that economy....because the trueness of economy is health....health....not a medicated sick society.....more?....what is america..?....the founding fathers....wer rebels....thinking hopeful rebels who listened...and realized that although they could design a system that may have not been perfect.....it could rise and grow into perfection...few countries have that...and the secrete is how we interpret some of the amendments ....to some democracy may seem like a stumbling block......and their may be times when those who are supposed to represent us don't....but please....we are a young nation....as long as we have young people...we are young....we say there is an opposite to democracy.....what is it ?..... the rulers of europe at the time of the founding of america...were pompass bigots.... who took more than gave.....military might....seemed to be the autrhority....but who can live and serve freely in a systm of military despots ? or a monarchy that doesn't consider its peoples............america fathers...said you can worship freely....and allow others that right.....the same can and has occur'd in democracies though if i'ts people can speak up through a system and not on deaf ears...there is hope......no child cries without a reason......we may not know what to do....but to care for the child is an utmost....some of our young people have been mislead....they need to recover and make healthy decisions.....someday i look to that.........there will be no military...because there will be no one to fight against....but there would be thousands of units all over this planet...with the capacity to aid storm/flood relief....tornadoes/volcanoes....earthquakes....rebuild cities....up grade....work with their fellow human beings...no need for guns and tanks....because thers no need for war.....the people of long ago threw rocks and spears at each other....when they had no more amunition...and couldn't find anything to throw...they raised theyre hands and waved....may the whole world learn to wave...may you wave at everyone you meet....thev dali lama wasnot kidding....war is obsolite....frienship is a great big vessel..not a pirate ship

We can't help what our leader chooses to do. I'd rather not be fighting. Most of us feel the same. Our president is trying to finish what his father started when he was president. We hate war. We want everyone to be happy and live in peace.
