The best math formula is pi r squared. the circumferance of a circle. There is also a math joke that goes with it. The son of a farmer came back from school and his father asked him what he learned. And the boy said that pi r squared. And his father thought that school really had problems because everyone knows that pie's are round not square.

I teach 6th grade math--my favorite formula for kids that age is length X width = Area. It's easy to remember and everyone gets it right!!
