yeah he will go through phases where he will sleep less and less then all the sudden want to sleep all day long. My 15month old now is about 13 hrs a day, but was down to about 10. Try getting a specific bedtime schedule for them for a bit. It really helps.
Dinner, bath, book, playing soft music and putting them in a dark room (no night lights) at the same time every night. It may take a bit but he will get back on track.

I think it's nornal for a child that young to sleep 10 hours a day. My child is 9months, I wish she slept for 10 hours. Babies this young need a lot more sleep than us adults. You should be happy that your baby is getting enough rest. The deciding factor is that he wakes up feeling refreshed and happy and that's definately a good sign. If he were to wake up feeling tired and groggy after 10 hours, then I would be concerned.

I think a baby that age needs more sleep usually. However, if your baby is happy and active, perhaps he doesn't need as much sleep as other babies his age. If I were you , i would keep trying to set him down for naps. Then, mention it to the doctor at the next checkup.

Yes it is normal. Just go on how your baby seems. If he seems sleepy in the middle of the day, put him down for a nap! Just make sure you put him down to sleep at night at the same time.
