Make sure you spray at night, these insects are generally inactive and in the nest then. That being said, it would never hurt to have an escape route open!
Good Luck

Wait until complete dark when all the wasps will be on their nests. You can buy spray that will spray 20'. Zap them both good with the spray-no more wasps! I hope this helps.

Wasps are less active when it's colder out. Wait until early morning after a cool night, and spray the nests then.

Have they Attacked? Many Wasp nests were there way before you noticed them. Most likely they already know you by name. I usually ignore them and they go away in winter. Usually not tell people they there or the people start freaking out and then this causes the wasps to freak and well, it not a good freak party then.

I cannot imagine that spraying one nest will cause the other to react. Spray away, but keep and eye out just in case.

Wait until they all get still ,almost dark, then spray them both real fast, I have done this lots of times, wasp will not attack you, if it was Hornets they would if you didn't hit them real good . don't be afraid, just do it, you will be proud of yourself, just don't let them fall on you, spray when wind is not blowing.
Good Luck.

Make a smoker from ceramic or metal pot and semi dry wood, grass or leaves. The smoke will disorient the wasps and they will not attack. Smoking them daily will make them leave the nest and go elsewhere.
