WMA is Windows Media Audio - it's a popular audio file format used by Napster, Musicmatch, Walmart, FYE, MSN Music, and a few others. WMA can be encoded at a lower bit rate than MP3 with the same quality if not better, so the WMA files are usually only about half the size of an MP3 file of the same song. Smaller files = more music that can be loaded onto the player.
WMA files also can be "copy-protected", which is also why the vendors I've listed above use them, at the request of the recording labels. Most players will play protected WMA files, also known as WMA DRM (Digital Rights Management) as long as you have a DRM license to play that file - you get one along with the file whenever you buy a song from one of the vendors I've listed above.

I personally like Creative's MP3 players. W/ the software, u can't really access music videos, but u can download many songs/videos using Limewire. The Creative player I have is very small and holds about 500 songs. It's very affordable and I purchased it @ Walmart for about $40. Very good price and I've had no problems w/ it at all. If ur looking 4 music videos, maybe an Ipod would be best? Happy shopping!

WMA's are Windows Media Audio files...which is one kind of format, other than MP3. They are smaller files than MP3 format, but MP3's have better sound hence the bigger file size. If you are wanting one that plays videos, I know that the new IPOD has video playback, but I don't want to promote any manufacturers product. I have a Philips 6 GB MP3 player and I love it. I think Apple's IPOD is over rated!
