She will be fine. I was born 3 1/2 months premature and I was really small but I'm normal now. I had alot of things wrong with me-a heart problem, lung infection, I couldn't cry tears because my tear ducts were not open, seizures and all.Doctors thought I was going to be retarded and have speech problems-I don't have any. She will be fine-just have hope in her.I was skinny until I went to high school but so what. I know someone who was only 1 pound when she was born and she is fine(and pregnant). Just because your baby was small doesn't mean she was premature-most hospital do keep babies until they grow which is usually week or two.But I was able to go home.So don't believe what everyone type.Give her time, good meal, and love and she will grow up just fine. She isn't too little -to love.

My daughter weighed 2 lbs 10 oz at birth. Now at nine months she weighs 12 and a half pounds. The hospital she was born at would not let her leave until she was at least four pounds. By the way there are some really adorable preemie clothes. Enjoy your "little doll".

if the nurse said shes healthy then dont worry every baby is different and she will grow in her own time and at her own pace. i was born 1lb 13 although i was sick i turned out just fine... so i really wouldnt worry. and if u do get worried then the best thing for you to do is keep all her baby appointments with the doc

Well, that is very small. Was she premature? If so, then she may be a normal weight and size for her stage of development and will gain and grow steadily with help. Good luck!

That's extremely small. They aren't allowed to even leave the hospital unless they are 5 lbs.

normally they will not even let you leave the hospital until they are at least 5 lbs. Even though they are healthy.

No, as long as she is healthy she will be fine. She still has all her growth spurts to go thru too.
