Has anyone had a uterine inversion immediately after giving birth? I did a few years back. They told me it was extremely rare, and it actually nearly killed me. Some medical books I've read say it can be a naturally occuring phenomenon, or the doctor's fault. The doctors can't seem to give me much info, but I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else, what you're treatment/outcome was, if you nearly died as well, if you sued your doctor, and if you were able to have more children without any problem. Please only respond if you know what I'm talking about; i.e. you've had one, or someone you know, etc.

Thanks so much for your input.

Just FYI - I think it's a little more rare than 1 in 2000. The medical texts I referred to called it a "phenomenon", and claimed it was about 1 in 250,000.

Which book did you pull your source from? I'd be interested to read that one as well.

Actually, you might not be able to have anymore kids without having the problem again.

I have never had one before but I know what it is your lucky you didn't have to have A hysterectomy because a lot of women with A UI has had to have one because the doctors could not stop the bleeding 1 out of 2000 pregnancy there is A UI. You can have A normal pregnancy after this but make sure your health care provider knows your past history of the UI so that they can be ready if you have another they may just want to give you A c-section to be on the safe side. I don't think you can sue for this but maybe you should talk to a lawyer.

I am only going to advice you on the legal side Doctors will give no help as it could point fingers to another doctor and all of them stick together to avoid lawsuits and the high medical malpractice insurance You need to seek out advice from a lawyer who is not afraid of handling a malpractice case to at least investigate your medically records that's an oxymoron in itself they your records but you can't have them time is of the utmost importance because there are time frames that you have to be in in order to sue check out a websites you might find more info and female organizations that may be able to guide you
