be stranded on a deserted island with an iPod or a good book?

If it's a book about how to get off a stranded island using coconuts and palm trees the a book. Otherwise an IPOD with a song called "How to build a coconut radio and batteries."
I love that song.

Don't want to be stranded on a deserted island, however, if I was I guess the iPod, I could most likely convert it to a short range radio where as the book at best I could only use it to start a fire more easily.

A good book. There would be no way to charge the iPod. Plus you never said what kind of music it had on it, if any at all.

if it was more than one book i would pick that but since an ipod has a bunch of songs i choose the ipod

an ipod because i could listen to the music over and over and not get bored (as long as i had a supply of batteries of course) i like books but i would never read the same one over and over.
