Loki, god of mischief in Norse myths. He is the master of deception and guile. He was a shape shifter who can change into animals and change sex. He was kinda a pimp too. But the thing that gets me the most is that he killed Baldr with mistletoe. Awesome. You rock on Loki....even if you are chained to a mountain with a snake....and stop with the earthquakes. Take it like a man, or a woman, which ever one you are at the moment.

Loki. Norse. Apart from the fact that he bedded nearly every goddess in Asgard, he was the god of tricks that also got Freyja, Thor and Odin their most prized possessions. He was the one that got the gods out of a lot of their hardships (the fact he usually got them into the situation nonwithstanding) and also spoke his mind. Especially when it came to airing the other God's dirty little secrets.
Eris: Greek. Goddess of Chaos. She "formed" Discordianism, one of the greatest absurdist anarchist plots known to mankind. And you got to love anyone who goes out of their way to start a catfight between three other, more respected and well known goddesses on Olympus.

HermÄs Trismegistus, patron of pimps, panders and thieves, who stole the cattle of Apollo, started the first all-harp band and taught the rest of us an uncharacteristically finicky form of magic. Hail the thrice-great Hermes!

My favourite mythical god is Poseidon (Neptune) not only because he has such a flamboyant name that catches your eyes full of wonder and curiosity, because he is the god of the sea !!
I would love to have control over the sea ;-)

Non of the ancient Goddesses and Gods are mythical. To me, they are as real as the trees outside my home. But the ones I mainly interact with are Athena, Bastet, Aphrodite, Ptah, Sekhmet. I don't stick to just one pantheon of Goddesses and Gods, I work with who is associated with whichever energy I need at a given time.
-Athena not because she is a warrior goddess, but because her totem is the snowy owl, and she is a goddess of wisdom.
-Bastet because I see her most in the form of a very large black panther. She is my companion on my walk home at night after work.
-Aphrodite because she is the one that I asked for help when I was looking for divine help in finding my lifepartner. And because she enjoys a really bawdy joke.
-Ptah because he is the Patron God of artists and Craftsmen.
-Sekhmet because she is a warrior goddess, and her energy helps temper my own when Im angered and wanting to fight.

My favorite is Artemis, the Goddess of the Moon and the Hunt. She wasn't into that whole lovey-dovey thing, except for Orion, whom she shot into the stars after her brother, Apollo, murdered out of jealousy. In the Roman myths she is referred to as "Diane".

Athena, goddess of wisdom, war, and the arts. A very well-rounded goddess, despite Ancient Greece being a male-dominated society. If I lived back then, she would've been my patron diety. I could relate a lot to her.
