I'd be the first to go.
40 years would be 1966. I was in the 8th grade.
My first thought? Everything is so backward! No internet. No cell phones. No home computers. No PlayStation. Only five channels on the B&W TV. No VCRs, DVDs, or CDs. The cars are rolling death traps. No McDonalds. No Best Buy. Lots of pollution.
We haven't even been to the moon yet! Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luthur King are still alive. The hippie movement is just getting started. The Beatles! I can go to Woodstock! Pass me the weed, I need a hit! Far out, man.

It would probably depend on where you are. If it is in an impoverished area - yes. Also, though, we have so much excess in everything now, I guess slowly we are expanding.But, I can't imagine that in my neck of the woods there would be a big difference. : )

I would be home with my family again and everything would be fine. When you are home with mom and dad the world is so good!!! Nothing like youth.
