To me, a great movie is one that has a great story. When I walk out of the theater after seeing a really great movie, I think about the movie for a long time. Sometimes I think about it for days. There have been a lot of movies that have done this for me. Here are some of them. I guess I'd have to label them as my favorites ...
Gladiator
Star Wars and Return of the Jedi
Terminator and Terminator 2
The Thing
Hard Times
The Matrix and it's sequels
Kelley's Heros (Great old Clint Eastwood movie)
Cocoon
First Knight
Armageddon
Raiders of the Lost Ark....
And there are many more.

Dog Solders... It won many awards in other countries, but when it came here they put it on Sci-fi, which was a big mistake, it should have went to theaters.
For anyone who likes lycanthrope movies, it might not be a fave after you watch it, but it is a really good movie worth watching.

Toss up between A Clockwork Orange and Pi (Faith In Chaos). Both movies make you think and that's why I love them the most.
