Why don't we focus both Republicans and Democrats how our country is becoming God less and immoral. Our forefathers did not separate church and state in the 1st Amendment I researche it and they wrote that the federal government should never be given the power to oppress religious expression. Our forefathers prayed in the capitol building and before they passed laws in Congress. i think Americans are so poorly educated in our schools we don't even know the truth about the founding of our country. Democrats in the past supported slavery and repealed segregation laws passed by Republicans in the 1870s. Yes,the 1870s. Democrats established the KKK to wipe out both white and black integrationists during the Reconstruction. Eisenhower was the first president in the 1900s to pass anti segregation laws. His bill was shot down by a Democratic congress. It wasn't until rioting and the major majority of Americans wanting integration that a Democratic president pushed through laws regarding civil rights. Those laws passed through when the congress and senate was primarily Republican. Now Democrats support abortion which has primarily done genocide on unborn blacks. Read your history know your party before you vote. The devil can infiltrate both partied but historically the Democratic party supported policies and backed cause that we all can see now were evil.

The Democrats are a sell-out party. They want to appeal to the masses and the masses are all for themselves. That's baloney that a lot of Democrats ARE Christians. The truth is, although many Democrat called themselves Christians, they practice next to zero Christian teachings. It doesn't reflect in their lawmaking or voting strategies. True Christians would vote according to the teachings of the Bible, and most of them don't. Yeah. Thumbs down to the truth. Gay marriage? I don't care what you say, that is not okay in the Bible. Abortion? Same thing. The Bible isn't an a la carte menu. A Christian is not supposed to pick and choose to follow which ever teachings suit his or her ragedy lifestyle. If that's the case, make up your own religion and follow that. Make narcissism a religion. Quit giving Christians a bad name!!! And to all who don't agree with this and have a time articulating themselves without being rude about it.... in simple term.... whatever!!

A lot of Southern Baptists and others will take serious issue with that global generality. The most extreme liberals have misinterpreted the meaning of the constitution. The intent was to guarantee freedom of religious expression, not to prohibit it.
The fact is that this country IS something like 95% Christian and all our laws and customs are based on Judao-Christian religious teaching which tends to overwhelm other religions.
That, however, does not prevent them from expressing their beliefs.
In the phrases - God Bless America or One Nation Under God the term God is generic and can be accepted by Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddists, Hindus and every other religion that believes in a supreme being. If it said Jehova, Allah, Zeus, or any other specific name, bless America, I would be against it.
That leaves only the 0.01% who are Atheists to have any protest. So 99.9% are supposed to be forced to not express their religious beliefs because of some vague offense to them. That is just wrong!!!

It's not that democrats are anti christian, it's just that some of them are sick of Christians forcing their religion upon others. I dont mean to offend anyone but as a free thinking democrat i get very aggrivated when politics and religion are mixed. The one thing that completely frustrates me is when Pres. Bush references god. In my opinion he of all people should be completely neutral about religion, especially when on national television. Also democrats are pro-science and religion and science have always been conflicting.
-My 2 cents.

It's not the Democrats per se that are anti-Christian - it's the far left-wing of the party that dominates the Democratic Party that is anti-Christian.
They are religious in their own way (i.e., their political dogma serves as a theology and their epithets and catchphrases are their way of "shouting out" as some Christian sects do) - they are threatened by those who do not and never will subscribe to their belief system.
The far-left wing of the Democratic Party sees committed Christians as political opponents. Oh, and they feel superior to Christians because they "know" they are right and they "know" that Christians are sheep too stupid to see the light. They are amazingly arrogant and believe in their dogma JUST AS MUCH as any Christian on this earth!

SIMPLE--- you can not belief in faith or that faith is the answer and that a book that describes a life of slavery and murder and prophets who bring a new mesege is actually God .
IF GOD wants something from you .THEn you will know what it is and that is when yyou accept or deny his existance and not some silly book passed from one radical goat herder to another for several thousand years .
LOOK closely at the terroists for a clue as to the people who saw and spoke with God .THEY have lived in that region for thousands of years and just look at them .
THIS is the people whogave the world religion and you want to belief that in all the mess that you got the story right after thousands of years in these peoples hands .
WELL if i was looking i think they have as good a god as you do and it would come down to prove .
SINCE none of you can claim and prove jesus walked the earth was crucified died and buried to arise from the dead and appear to the living would have been a story that was recorded by every writter of the day and not one mention of it by anyone but the churches that built a following of people tired of the jewish ways of slavery and taxes intrest and death and the promise of a messiah who still had not come .
prove to me that even one person recorded the passing of a man named jesus other then his followers and people who made a living off selling religion .
