I know that portrayol can't be accurate.
I am proud to be of French Norman descent but I really think BBC is showing an innacurate face (& *rse) of Britain.

no no no - I am not attcking the British! I just think the BBC chooses ugly & fat actors that don't truly represent the GB population!

I am not in America so I can't comment on them. I have seen fat yanks and thin yanks just like other countries.......................

Think of it this way. If what's show on TV is only beautiful people, all viewers will feel that they are hopelessly fat and ugly and they can't match up to the celebrity idea; if TV personalities look more like average people, viewers will feel more comfortable and better able to relate...and maybe even think they're better looking that those TV stars...which could be true.

Perhaps what you are missing is that the U S puts only the pretty people on most of it's shows. That is just a false view of a country that is obese.

hey I'm British I'm not fat or ugly
in fact i go to the gym 5 times a week
as for my teeth they are pearly white
NOT all Brits are fat and ugly
they just put them on the TV

Actually, the people on BBC are probably the better looking people they found...
