i'm asking that 'cause i'm italian and i've heard that in usa pubs close earlier than in italy..is it true? here close at 4 a.m./5 a.m. .... than we have "breakfast" :if early (4 am with a sandwich) if later (6am) with croissant and capuccino...
what do you do? is it similar?

The general rule in the US is bars/clubs close at 2am, followed by a trip to Denny's, or IHOP for breakfast or a snack, or a cup of coffee to sober up. Now, the times may vary a bit by location except in Las Vegas. Bars and clubs in Las Vegas can stay open all night if they choose. You can get a drink at 6am if you wish and then go get a $1.99 ham and eggs breakfast..

In the US, it is up to the local community. Bigger cities have later times. Some local communites do not allow alcohol at all. Chicago is 4 AM but in the suburbs it is 2 AM on weekends. Bars usually close earlier during the work week.

most bars in the US close at 2am, earlier for many pubs or local taverns. there are some clubs that stay open til 4 or 6, but only a few places in a few cities.

Depends on the state. NJ its 2 am, NY its 4 am. But, many clubs in NYC have afterhours which can run until 6 in the morning.

All depends on where you are. In Erie County (Buffalo, NY) the bars close at 4. Surrounding areas they close at 2 - unless you're at the casino - where it seems they never stop serving.

I lived in michigan and they closed at 2, here in ohio where im at now its 2:30 am

As mentioned, it completely depends on where you are. LA area places stop serving alcohol at 2AM. If they don't, the police can shut them down.

In Iowa 2am if they serve alcohol.
