Kobe is probably the best player right now. In about 2 years it'll be Lebron James.

Well the best basketball player would have to be LeBron James. He demands a double team like no one else in the league and still gets 31 ppg. He can also pass like Magic. Half of his passes are no look or oops. He needs to work on his D and a little bit on his shooting, then he will be the best ever.

As you can see everyone has their own opinion. As for past players like Jordan, Bird, Cousey and others, there will actually never be another one like them. As for the players now, only time will tell. There are a lot of good young players out there, but all you need is an injury to end a career. Kobe, Wade and James are up there, but others are on their heels. Some players I will never forget though, like Sir Charles and Robert Horry's end of game three pointers to win the game.
