My veiled chameleon is having short seizures. It is active, just sometimes without apparently cause, it gets really stiff and gets really light in color and dark spotted, then it fall to the floor of the tank in fetal position, after a while it stands up and go normally again. Someone can tell me whats wrong with it?

Sounds like it has something to do with calcium deficientcy (early sign of metabolic bone disease) or nutritional problems. Are you using calcium and vitamins for his food? Do you have a UVB light? He should be able to get within 6-10 inches of the light. The UVB needs to be changed every six months. Make sure there is no type of covering over the UVB. I would suggest taking your chameleon to a herp vet. Check www.herpvetconnection.com if you have trouble finding one. Good luck!

My only guesses would be a calcium deficiency or improper temperatures. Are you dusting the crickets with a supplement such as reptical, and are you sure that your providing enough light and heat. If these solutions don't help then i would recommend taking him to an experienced pet shop, or vet if you can afford it.

Sounds like it could be nutrition problem. Are you feeding it fresh fruits and vegetables and giving it powdered calcium? Also do you have the correct UV light for it to absorb all the nutrients? Good luck.
