It's important for you, if you want to communicate well with men, to understand that being competitive is how men connect. It's called parallel play. That's why men play golf or other sports together. Quick side note for women, If you want to connect with a man, play a game with him. Don't let him win, but ALWAYS let him know that you learned something from him (whether he won or not.)

As for the "prize", respect and connection is the prize for both of you.

Actually, in spite of certain nasty comments here men notice very young that what women say is not what they do. Several of you made nasty comments about men being that way, but the vast majority of women will have nothing to do with men who aren't that way.

Sure, they say they will, but they never get around to it.

Let us compare two movie stars of the last few decades.

John Wayne, and Woody Allen.

Woody Allen meets all the standards you phonies state, but you really want John Wayne. Today, that would probably be Bruce Willis or Cruise, right?

Everything in psychology depends on what theory you are following, but in my opinion, men compete against each other to gain a mate. Who is the strongest male will prove to the females if u mate with me I will give u strong offspring that will more than likely be strong.

The survival of the fittest is a deep seated drive within humans. I don't think it is something that we are thinking of consciously, but it is a drive that has evolved with us. Due to the higher functioning areas of the brain, it has turned into, "Wow, look at the booty on her!" or "Wow, look how broad his shoulders are!"...LOL

Sorta funny if u think about it. We are all higher functioning gorillas. Imagine a bunch of guys either playing football or watching it. The biggest sport in America is basically a venue to show primates proving their worth for a mate.

The yang energy of the MIND is male energy, and Yang energy is not exclusive to males. since it is the opposite of Yin, or female energy, and both exist in both male and female, and make up the duality of the MIND realm. Yang is outgoing, and Yin is ingoing.

The competition is built into the nature of Yang energy when expressed externally, and with males, within a culture that supports and encourages competition, what we observe is the result.

The male has come into this life to experience manifesting his Yang energy. In other lives he has been a she, and she has manifested her Yin energy. This is simply Souls with MINDs attached doing what is natural in the pursuit of the purpose of life.

Those Liberal-Type personalities who fear the intense energy within themselves project this fear in the form of trying to prevent others from experiencing it. This is why so many attempts by these people to outlaw almost everything they can which allows people to experience life intensely and perhaps even dangerously. This is why the L-Tp hates war.... because it calls for the intense expression of Yang energy. This is why the L-Tp hates guns... because they are symbols of powerful energies.

This is why the L-Tp attempts to replace scoring in sports... in an attempt to remove the motivation for intense energy the players experience as they compete to win.

By the way.... competition is not only between males, have you watched a female soccer match or boxing match lately?

If you go back to earlier times, man's basic instinct is to hunt for dinner and females and to win. Men are driven to find women to bear their children, I guess, and always seem to be on the hunt for a good meal, too. I think there's something with testosterone thought that makes men not want to "settle" but have the best.

It's about survival of the fittest. Women seek the biggest, strongest, best. Men seek to have the best options for procreation. Nature 101.

the prize is the the chick....any chick doesn't matter the chick. It goes back to nature.....the stongest male amongest his peers will get the strongest female. That is why men compete....they must be the stongest....it's their nature to have the pick of the females in order to pass on the stonger genes.
