Didn't the part when the father and the kids come home from the church performance, remind you of the Michael Jackson movie?

I watched it. It was okay I guess, but I was disappointed. I really loved Fantasia on Idol, and her voice is exceptional. I expected this horrific life filled with turmoil and troubles. It is not my intention to cheapen her accomplishments in life, but her life was a cake walk compared to mine at her age. Like single motherhood, stealing to feed your kid, and life with an abusive idiot for a partner is anything rare . .

Yes, I watch it last night the book was better, but it was worth the watch. It will be on again tonight on lifetime @8pm. For those of us that can relate to her issues I believe she made a real life story come true. Their are similarities to both the movie and the book they both made me share a few tears....SHE BROUGHT IT HOME!!!! FOR REAL.......sorry don't remember that movie--Michael Jackson movie

I did and I'm sorry that I did. It was very cliched... just like every other rags to riches story I've seen. Fantasia can't act, but the clips of her singing for AI almost made up for it... ALMOST.

She has one of the most beautiful singing voices I've ever heard... however, that squeaky speaking voice she has is almost enough to make me commit suicide.

No, I did not watch it. I don't think Fantasia Barrino has any singing talent, and I certainly do not think she should have won American Idol.
