i don't understand it either... sponge bob does not teach your children anything... at least barney educated your kids... I watch it with my grandkids. Sponge Bob is a genuinely nice person who wants to help everyone. He loves his job and he helps his friends. Nothing wrong with that.

it's actually pretty funny for a cartoon. the truth is cartoons today suck compared to what they used to be, and sponge bob happens to stand out among the rest.

I love spongebob. It's funny, it is clean, everyone can laugh, the characters and the situations are so silly, it is set in a underwater world, which invites kids to look outside of their own world and use their imaginations....
We watch it every morning and I just love it!
