What about your family's opinion? My understanding of your culture is that they have very strict guidelines on marriage. How will they react and can you accept that?
The idea of arranged marriages may make you more vulnerable to accepting a marriage with someone with whom it sounds like you have very little in common.

If there's no love, then hell no do not marry this man. first off he is 36 and you are 23 that's a big age difference, mentally you both are not on the same page, no matter how well you know him he has more life experience than you do. So just continue to be his friend.

I really don't think you should marry somebody 10 years older to you,I think he won't understand you, he cannot understand ur needs & ambitions, all you guys are looking at is love which may only last for a few days of honeymoon , because everybody has different priorities in life at different age, when people get married they are gernally at same age because at tht time there are so many things which match between them thus they make a good couple.
I am also looking for a soulmate

What does your gut say? Why not discuss it with your parents than with us? The age difference is a bit more than normal. Do you know your friend's activities in USA? He might have been already married and divorced or could be anything. Risk seems to be higher than reward. Use commonsense for a change.

You don't even know this man. He could be a murder, molester or on drugs. It is a very bad idea for you to marry him. There are other ways to get into the USA instead of marriage. Maybe you could find some employement and come over as a guest worker but DON'T GET MARRIED!!!!!

I agree with the first answer. If you have to get advice from stangers whether or not you should marry someone than, you should consider first whether or not you truly love this man and if you could spend the rest of your life with him. If it is the age difference that is bothering you, just remember that age is just a number. The really big question is this what you want? Do you love him? And does he love you?

Before marrying someone lots of question arises which you only can answer. Do both of them love each other?. Are you both ready to marry ?. have you meet him presonally or not ? Have you find out the background of him? and many more such question. if your answer to all of them are yes then definately you should go for else. No way you should marry him.
Best of luck to you.
