First of all, you will need to have a goal... After you create a goal for yourself, try working hard to achieve it! You will automatically start concentrating on your studies.

Be serious when you are with your books. Make sure you are studying in a room that has no access to the computer, telephone and television. Ask your family not to disturb while you are studying. They will be more than happy to help you out!

Each time you feel your mind is being diverted while studying, think about your goal and tell yourself that YOU HAVE TO ACHIEVE IT AT ANY COST!!!

Best of luck!

-Are there any problems troubling you? Get it resolved and you may feel better and more able to concentrate.
-Take Ginkgo Biloba, a herb. It may boost your concentration.
-Take Essence of Chicken, a Chinese product. It is scientifically proven to increase your concentration.
-have background soothing music to complement your studying, eg. Mozart's music. Mozart's music is said to increase IQ by a few points. But the music should not be distracting to you.
-Learn through computers and internet. The internet is full of resources to learn science and the arts. But go to the trusted sites.
-Go less to shopping, pubbing, discos, chit-chat on internet, idleness and suddenly you find you have lots of time to do your studies
-Ask yourself: why am I studying? What is my long term plan? What is my ambition? Eg. if you want to be a biologist, you need to study up to university level and even beyond that.

Make believe you have to TEACH someone else that which you wish to learn yourself.

Create a list of two or three questions on the matter, and then answer them as thoroughly as possible.

Have other "study buddies" do the same; challenge one another with questions to help master the subject.

Try to invent some "game" about the subject material and then play the "game".

I put a picture of a big house over my desk. Under it, I wrote "One day......." I just helped me to focus.

Have a set time for study, and give yourself something nice to do afterwards as a reward.

Yes - I now live in a big house.

Maybe it is because you seem to be so vague...you give no explanation or reason, just a want to be exonerated and forgiven.

See a Professional.

Get off the computer and open the books. That'd be a good start.
