Anyone who was alive then knows the ELO, I am glad to see they are not forgotten.

I have vaguely heard of them. In the past I probably wouldn't even give a minute to check it out, but I recently read a book about the Beatles that piqued my interest, so I downloaded a lot of their music an Really listened to it. OMG! I am a new fan! Their music is timeless, I also intend to downloada ELO and check it out. I have missed out on a lot of really great music, just because I considered it OLD. Thanks for the heads up! Oh yeah, my favorite band is Green Day! Rock on!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ArkpfhEM2rs

ELO evolved from an English band The Move. Their main inspiration, at the beginning anyway, was The Beatles. They were unique in that cello was one of the main instruments in the band.

the fact that you would rate ELO above both the Rolling Stones and AC/DC tells me that you have absolutley no clue about the individual contributions of any of the 4 bands you have listed.

ELO - some of my favorites from the 70's. A new World record is awsome. I question them being one of the best in history tho... :)
