Not a silly question at all, Jaded. We sometimes wonder what if I could...., or what if I were...... It's perfectly normal, to me, anyway.
Given the two choices you have mentioned, I will have to take an underwater city. Of course I will have to learn how to swim first, but I guess if we had an underwater city, we would probably also have some seaweed to consume that would make us sprout gills and swim like a fish (a scene from Harry Potter comes to mind).
My neighbours would be the beautiful manta stingrays, the exquisite coral reefs (also sometimes referred to as the rainforests of the sea), the shy eels, the delicate seahorses, the dangerous looking sharks and the occasional migrating pods of whales and giant greenback turtles swimming past as they make their way to some far away place.
Wonderful image, eh?

I would say space because of space travel and the places you can go, but take that away and just live in space or under water no contest underwater there is so much life underwater and in outerspace besided seeing the moon up close there is nothing else.

I would love to live in a mysterious and mythical forest where the animals are not afraid of you and come to you to be touched. Where you can see the first sunbeams fall through the leaves and the branches on the trees kissing the earth and waking up the birds.
Or I would love to live underwater in a city like Atlantis.

Ernie "Mr. Cub" Banks Come on now they already gave him a statue at Wrigley hall of Famer What are you able to ask for from a residing Cubbie yet you may also bypass with Ryno or Ron. Its pathetic that Ron Santo hasnt been voted into the HoF yet.

I would not live in space. It's lack of colors would be totally dull imo. Underwater maybe cool. If the roof could be see through and there is no lack of oxygen and safety is no issue.

I would like to live in a mystical world. A world having a calm sea, a forest of giant trees, sleepy glades, and gentle creatures of my own imagination. A place where I could make my creative imaginations and dreams real. Thus that would be my haven.

Space, because I'm afraid of water. And I want to know what it feels like to be sucked into a big black hole.
