They almost ALWAYS originate elsewhere.
For example you are watching TV, you eye send an impulse to the brain. So the electrical impulse did not originate in the brain. It originated in the eye.

Actually, yes. It is a scientifically proved fact that there is a "second emotional brain" located in the heart, formed by (I'm not sure i remember) 4 billion neurons. Some people can actually control and equilibrate their emotional part of the brain with the help of the second brain. Interesting huh?
If you then think about people with heart transplants that have memories from someone else's life, this would explain everything.

Often people are hit by lightning. Somehow I think that when they consider "Oh, ****, I've been hit by lightning!" they are having some kind of electrical impulse that originated elsewhere.

Then again, it might be a pun.
