Buy one of those flea fogger things for your home, they can be kind of pricey but it's worth it. If not, if you have carpet put a flea collar in your vacuum bag and vacuum all carpet, rugs, and furniture then take the bag directly outside to the garbage good luck!!!

I had this same problem last year. go to the vet and get this little pill for your cat/dog. Its only about 3 or 4 dollars and it kills every flea on them within 24 hours. Then, buy The Frontline or K-9 advantix. Give the pill to your animals first, then apply the frontline. This way, giving the pill to your animal first and then applying the frontline helps it work faster and better. Then, bug bomb your house with the the fogger stuff. The ones that you put in water are the best. be sure to turn off your A/C, or else it will all be pumped out. After that, get some stuff thats made by "ortho", at your local walmart in the lawn/garden section. Find the one that is the spray on lawn treatment for fleas and ticks. it hooks up to your hose and you just spray your whole yard and garage and everything outside. After that you should see a huge difference, and just be sure to keep reapplying the frontline once a month to keep the fleas from reproducing.

I had this problem last summer. Frontline is the only product that worked but if you can't get your hands on it at the moment, wash your pet in Palmolive dish detergent. I did this and the fleas just came off in my hands. I'd say just trash all the pet bedding and towels. Why risk it? Clean as much as you can. But once I got the Frontline, the fleas pretty much just disappeared. (I didn't even bomb the place.)

You buy a little capsule from your chemist for the purpose. You cut off the tip, & put the stuff behind the neck and top of tail area. At the same time you need to worm your animal as fleas and worms seem to go together in a cycle - Suet

Putting Frontline, a flea deterrent, on your pets (assuming that's where the fleas came from) will help thin out the population.

Flea bomb the house. Wash all bedding. Get the rugs and furnature steam cleaned. Wash all your animals and get flea medicine. In two weeks, do it all again and then you will be fine.

Clean and vacuum your floors, bomb the house with an aerosol and if you have animals, treat them with spot-on, and/or use capstar pills from your Vet.
