Every country has a life chart of its own based on statistics, which is also shared by insurance companies. The average life span works out differently for different people of different communities and nations and depends on a number of factors. GDP plays an important role. It is usually seen that people from those nations with higher GDP have a higher longitivity. If one happens to be in a place where the GDP is low, he or she may like to shift over to a nation with a higher Gross Domestic Product. Such an action shall fetch better nutrition, better health care, less pollution, and so many other niceties of the world, which keep you alive for a longer time. The earliest one can die a natural death in an advanced country, due to old age, is somewhere around 65 years, and still rising due to better healthcare, awareness, facilities, etc.

I don't think it's Downs Syndrome that causes one to age prematurely. A lot of Downs babies live into their 40s to 60s.
I watched a program on TV a few weeks ago about kids who are aging before their time. At 6 the little boy looked to be in his 50s.
It said most of these kids will die of old age somewhere in their mid-teens, that seeing a 20 year old was very unusual.
I only wish I could remember the name of illness.

Hi, I have to say I am never going to grow old - so it won't be me!!
I suppose it's when you die of natural organ deterioration, which can happen at any age, as for people with degenerative diseases.
I don't think people are considered old until they have reached 80 these days, and even then people in their 80's can still be very active!

Progerians have a long life at the age of 20 years. Few if any live longer than that. The do have an advantage over us normal folks though.. They have an IQ over 200.

We never die from old age. When we say that someone died from old age is when that person was too weak (due to age) to fight the slightest disease or malaise.
