Wait another week or so and if your period hasn't started by then take another test. If it comes up negative you should go to the doctor because sometimes the pregnancy hormones aren't strong enough to register on a home test. It could be as much as just being stressed. Stress can cause your period to be late or skip a month or more. My doctor told me that it's not unusual for a woman to miss at least 3 months, but any more than that and you should definately get checked out. I hope this helps you out some.

You need to go to the doctor and have a blood test done. Some women get a negative reading no matter how far along they are and yet they are pregnant. Your more than like pregnant. It's been over 2 weeks since your period was due. That usually means your pregnant. You probably got a false reading.

I would say you could be PG, even if the test says no at first. The only way to know for sure is to ask for a HCG quantitive blood test. The irregular period could really but a kink in your scenario though...
Have you tried OV kits to assist with determine your OV and therefore the right times to try? I bought some inexpensive OV test strips online and they have been a great help in knowing when to really try.

if you are not bothered about whether you are pregnant or not, then there is no need to do anything. just go on with life and one day your period will start. But you still need to go to the drs to solve the irregular period problem.
if you are worried that you might be pregnant then wait another2-3 weeks and you will probabley end up knowing that you are or do another p.test and the results will be a lot more accurate. in the meantime take folic acid.

I am in the same boat as you...right as we speak. I am very irregular, as well. I was suppose to get my period sometime around the end of July as well. I have taken 5 preg test and they were all neg. I finally called my doctor and she sent me to get blood drawn...I did not even have to go in for an appointment. I will find out Monday the results. Are you having any symptoms? Were you trying to get pregnant?

try taking another test. There are cases of false negatives.
There is also the fact that stress can often make you skip your period, and being worried about pregnancy can increase that stress. Try another test, or go to a doctor for a more thorough check up and blood test, which is more conclusive than over the counter pee tests

When did you do the test? You might have done it too early. Sometimes the hormone levels are too low to pick up. Might be worth going to see your doctor. Some pregnancies never show up on a home kit, even if it's obvious you are pregnant! Your doctor should be able to give you some straight answers. Good luck.

if you're under a lot of stress/pressure, not eating right or sleeping right, or doing strenous exercises [athletic wise] it could affect your period by delaying it. i read somewhere that athletes don't get their period very often or it's extremely irregular, like gymnasts. i would suggest taking another pregnancy test soon and if it still comes up negative, i guess go to the doctors since you said you always get your period on time. 2 weeks late is late by a lot compared to it always being on time!

I've had the same problem as you, i did a second test a week later and i was pregnant! The test detects a hormone and sometimes there isn't enough to detect pregnancy early on! try another test if still the same go and speak to your doctor!

Go and see your doctor. Some tests give false negatives, but there could be other reasons for your period not happening, which will need to be investigated medically.
