Well you dont give any description of the spider at all, all you said was that it was gray??????
Where do you live, how big was the spider?, did it have any particular markings, was it in a web?........answer these questions and I will be able to help you. This is a very broad question.....
If you rae in North America, there are no gray spiders that can cause any serious harm to people. The only spider that comes to mind, that is large enough and aggressive enough to bite is the Dock or Fishing spider (Dolomedes tenebrosus). Their venom will leave a painful wound for about a week or so, but just apply soem polysporin to the wound and cover it up....it will ehal with no side effects.
