( Pixels in height ) * ( Pixels in width ) = Area of pixels

You can use a proffesional program (like Photoshop) to get the height and width of an image in inches. Then you can easily find the area of this image.

You mean a program that will extract the region in a given image and calculate it's area ? That's a long shot.
