I've been supporting them since 1995 as the Expos, when Brits first got to see regular baseball on channel five, so I can remember Mike Lansing, Henry Rodreiguez, Vladimir Guerro, Darren Fletcher, Javier Vazquez and last but certainly not least Pedro Martinez.

Does anyone out there in GB and the world support the Nationals and if so how do think the season's gone in comparison with your expectations and is Ryan Zimmerman the most under-rated young player in Baseball?

Those early Expos teams were thrilling. Not many remember that in the strike-shortened season of 1994, the Expos had the league's best record and were everyone's favorites to win the World Series. The strike probably didn't hurt anyone as much as it hurt the Expos, who never fully recovered. Don't forget that Larry Walker, Moises Alou, Cliff Floyd, Marquis Grissom, and John Wetteland also played for that team. They were stacked.

They're just not the same in D.C. but you may be on to something with Zimmerman, who is a joy to watch offensively and defensively. Give this team a little time, though. New ownership is just taking over and once they build a fan base that is more than disgruntled Oriole fans, they'll be able to contend in the NL East.

not a nats fan, but a mets fan, so i know about the nats. no one really expected the nats to do as good as they did. of course, personally, i didn't think alfonso would do as great as he is too. no, zimmerman is not the most under-rated young player in baseball, you just think that cuz your a nats fan. many young players are underrated and they're great for fantasy sports!

Yeah, I'd have to say that I am very impressed with the Nationals. They've surpassed my expectations. They're doing great and they have lots of good talent.
