As soon as you make your first mark in creating your work then you are. We are individuals and as such are unique. You can not judge any artist against another. It is good communication that makes a 'good' artist.

Looking at these answers, no one knows which type of artist you're talking about. Please be more specific when you ask questions like this. If you're talking about art, my favourite is either Picasso, Titian or Da Vinci. If you're talking about music, then I don't have a particular favourite, because I'm very open-minded when it comes to music.

It's whoever you personally think is the best. That is the beauty of art, absolutely everybody has different taste.

Imagine what the world would be like if everyone liked the same thing - boring!!!

I think Turner. Looking at his sunsets brings poetry to my mind, and music. Also Van Gogh, whose draughsmanship and colour, use of light...hmm lovely. Then Monet: so glad he lived to be old and to regain his sight...such wonderful moods. use of light.

Vettriano does nothing for me, nor did Picasso on the whole.
