I'm very happy with my Mac Powerbook G4. It's very easy to use, the operating system is elegant and stable, and in 18 months of use I've never had a virus (and I don't have any special anti-virus software installed). It's just a very well designed and built machine. I have Microsoft Office installed on the machine also.

The iChat video conferencing system is awesome.

Had a Dell desk top since April 05. Their guarantee doesn't
cover soft ware which can be most of your problems, but I'm
still going strong and will probably buy another Dell. Get DSL
or Broadband, or cable if you can. Your on line experience is
much better.

Had a mac in the early 80's. They run much smoother than
PCs but you must pay for that luxury. If you have a budget
go with the PC and spend the money for high speed Internet.

Definitely Dell.
Sony is way overpriced for what you get.
Apple is also, and there is not a lot of software that will run on an Apple. If you stick with Windows based computers you have a lot bigger selection.
with a Dell, you get the ability to put together the right machine for you, at a very reasonable price, without the headache of building it yourself from scratch.
I recommend Dell.

Well, if you want to play games buy a windows pc. Build it yourself. You really don't want to waste your money buying a prefab pc to run windows on. If you want a game computer, find the parts you want for the lowest price online and built the computer yourself at home. That will be loads cheaper and you will actually get what you want, a powerfull pc what an awesome graphics card. If you don't have the knowledge find a nerd to help you.

If you don't want to play computer games buy an apple. They are lovely and can run windows aswell if they have an intell processor. Apple os's are much more stable and userfriendly then windows. You can also run Linux on an apple. Its also really easy to develop software for apple's os's and thus many people made software it and put it online, free to download.

Sonys are really nice, but are a bit pricey. I have a Dell, and I'm pretty fond of it. I don't like apple, but that's just because I prefer Windows.

DELL for sure! I've had my Dell for about 6 years and it still runs great for our everyday life. Everyone in my family has Dells too and have had no problems with them.

Dell. All-around they are the best of the three.

Either Sony for Widnows, or Apple if you like their OS. I would recommend Apple if you need to do heavy graphics.

Dell is out....they just recalled the batteries for their laptops...the reason, a tendency to overheat and probably cause fire.
