It's important to separate being a transvestite from sexuality, especially if you know you're not gay! The word transvestite is simply trans (cross/change) vestite (clothing) it doesn't imply anything to do with sexuality. After all, the comedian Eddie Izzard is not gay but is a transvestite.
Is it possible that this is a desire to play a character or to perform that is driving this urge? If so why not look into doing amateur dramatics.
If you really want to try dressing as a woman than I say go for it, but do it in the company of people you really trust to begin with, as cross dressing still carries a ridiculous stigma.
Whatever you do, be happy!
PS just read your profile, hope you're genuine mate and not taking the opportunity to take the piss out of people who struggle with their identity. That wouldn't be funny.

My dear boy. I am afraid you are sitting back laughing, and that this question was posted to see what you'd get as answers so you could 'teehee with your peeps' (ugh).
A couple of educational points were made earlier, but let me emphasize. 1) How you dress has nothing to do with your sexuality....A majority of transvestites are not gay. 2) You are a bit young to even know what your sexuality is. 3) If this is a joke, it's not funny...and it's not weird.
If you're serious then let me state 1) Its not an easy path. Gay and Lesbian groups do have people who rally and stick up for their rights, transvestites are just looked at as somebody to laugh at, which just pisses me off. 2) You will have to be willing to give up concerns about society and what they think. That's okay, society and their rules are often misguided, judgmental, and narrow-minded. 3) You'll have to practice and give up stuff to 'blend' in when not dressed. No shorts if you shaved your legs and are embarrassed about it when going out as a man, only wigs if you don't grow your hair...not to mention the price of two wardrobes.
So if you're serious, good luck, and if you are poking fun, then shame on you young man!

It's not an easy life. It's a lot of fun but you get so much stick for it that you will have to be untra-commited or give up. There are special clubs and events which accept transvestites and these are great fun - I would only dress in this way there though (and at home of course) as otherwise life gets very hard.

For a 14 year old, why not have a laugh have some fun.
My nephew dresses up a few times when he was that age for a laugh, god he really put me in stitches.
The thing is he looked really convincing.
Hes 18 now, and does not do it anymore, well not for a few years what i know.
I cant see any reason why not except going in public, i think you could get some problems.

Be one because of what you like about it. If you like women, then be a REALLY good transvestite or go all the way to transgender and that'll give you a better chance of getting the woman you want. Also, learn to change your mannerisms, be a lady (smile).

In this modern world, The only person you have to convince is yourself. At the place I work a good few of our customers are transvestite's, nobody bothers them. In fact they are nice people if you take the time to talk.

Will you have a split avatar for when you are dressing up as your female side?
You'll need to wax a lot, hide your hands, not wear bad wigs, and find a nice pair of shoes....the good ones I have seen seem to have nice pins though!
Trouble is unless you are a LadyBoy of Bangkok everyone can tell!!!

I was going to say something frivolous like "Can we all come and watch?" but then I thought -- we don't really give a shite what you do in your private life, just so long as it doesn't frighten the horses ! ! !
Then you went and spoilt it all - a bloody fourteen year old - you should be ASHAMED of yourself for writing such crap.
