Yassou! My family is from Sparta, I was born here in the U.S. and never been to Greece. My kids are old enough now to go and I want to take them now since they can enjoy it with me. I have relatives over there I have never met or heard from. Time to look them up I guess and share an Ouzo with them! Opa!

English - but speak some Greek and have lived in Crete. Going to Naxos in two weeks.
I posted a question in Greek (using Greek alphabet) on the UK Language site and it was deleted because it was seen as not understandable!
Try it. Can you set your computer up with Greek alphabet (not dificult) then cut and paste a question into yahoo.

Greek family, live in America. My sister just got back Greek visiting our family and taking Greek lessons and now she can speak much better than I... I can only get by unfortunately, but in Greece, just knowing that you are Greek and trying, everyone is so nice to you and they give you tons of things for free... like ouzo!

Hey, 50% Greek my dad is Greek. Been to Greece on vacation every second year of my whole life. Love it there!

I am Greek. Both my parents born in Greece and all my ancestors. My Dad is from Corintho and Mom is from Tripoli. I am born in Canada. I speak Greek.
