Here's a picture of me....on my first night in Rome Italy, what should I wear?

I was thinking of wearing a skirt I have like this :

And this black backless shirt I have that ties around the neck and comes down to my hips.....so what do you think? The problem I find most with this outfit is that I don't know what sort of shoes I would wear because I'm so tall I don't want to wear heels.

Any suggestions on anything would be appreciated. Thanks!

The outfit is really cute. However, a little advice....

Rome is right next to Vatican City, which is where the Pope lives, making most of the people in Rome very Catholic and very religious. Women tend NOT to bare their bodies there - in fact, you can't go into the Vatican for tours unless you're wearing a skirt and short sleeves - no shorts, no tank tops (and that goes for men, too).

Around town, the only people who are going to be dressed baring their bodies are other tourists. So if you don't mind being pegged as a tourist right off the bat, it doesn't matter what you wear. But if you want to blend in with the locals, cover up a litte. The easiest way is if you do wear something baring your shoulders, bring a shawl along in your purse. That way you can cover up quickly if you need to.

I learned this the hard way last summer. I hope this helps!!!

Cute! You could also wear a light colored top with that skirt. Wear some cute sandals (flip-flops)! Something comfortable that you won't mind walking in. I wish I could go to Rome... sounds really fun! Have a good time!

Outfit sounds cute. I suggest some black flip-flops to go with it. Btw Anglekisses is probably not what you mean to say, angle as in 90 degree angle. I'm sure you meant to say angel, the beautiful woman with wings.

Wow! i love the skirt! its soooo cute. the shirt sounds cute too. I think you should either wear dressy sandals with just a tiny heel or pretty ballet flats. I think the Sandals would be the better choice, though.

That skirt is gorgeous. Sandals would look nice and relaxed, make sure it's a comfortable pair though. I just got back from Rome last month! I hope you have a wonderful time.

Are you trying to attract every man in Rome???? That outfit would certainly do it. If you arent' trying to attract every man in Rome, then try something more conservative than the black backless.

your skirt/shirt combo seems reasonable... with maybe some 'flats' instead of heels.
Of course, I've never been to Rome, so I'd recommend this -- if you have the opportunity, throw on some jeans and tshirt, and go out and see what the fashionable Roman girls are wearing.

Find an Italian national soccer team jersey. They look good on pretty much anyone, especially gorgeous women. Also, everyone in Italy loves their world champion soccer team, so no matter what they will love that!
