I have never seen an incident on the tube, that is not to say they do not happen, just that I have never been there at the time. Perhaps that is because I only use it during the daytime. I would be a bit more wary late at night and the early hours of the morning.

London is pretty safe, particularly the centre of London - too many people about all the time to be anything else. Just stay in highly populated areas and be seen in the street lights and you should be OK.

Keep a personal alarm with you and if necessary set it off. That should raise other people's attention. If you are worried, you should also take self-defense classes.

I am terrified of there being more bombs, I was caught up in the last attack and it is not something I would like to live through again, so yes in that respect I am very scared of the tubes. However, I have to use them on a daily basis so am just thankful that I have survived every journey I take. Nowhere is really safe, and you can be in any area of London, even the really wealthy areas, and still be a victim of crime. Be alert, look confident and stay where there are lots of people etc, the usual tips for keeping yourself safe in a city. Never take an unlicensed cab for example. If I was attacked I do not know how I would defend myself as I am pretty small but when walking in the street I carry my keys in my hand with the keys sticking out of my fingers so I could at least hurt someone who tried to get me.

Bombing apart, I think London underground late at night is full of weirdos, druggies and drunks, it is not safe, how to defend yourself? You are not allowed a weapon, but an umbrella is very handy, and an (accidental) poke in the eye with the sharp end is a very good deterrent!
Really I think the only way to drastically cut back on the 'riff raff' is to employ and use railway police, yes I know this would increase the fares, so be it!

If you wish to learn to stop any kind of abuse the you will need to have this system of Bruce Perry, Patriot Self Defense , a course that you just will find it here https://tr.im/VdrUI
Patriot Self Defense will teach you a very powerful self-defense system that's been field-tested in homes, at government events and on some of the meanest roads on the planet against the most ruthless, shrewd and harmful criminal.
With Patriot Self Defense you may find out that is much simpler then you definitely expected to protect yourself because you do not must be a specialist or have energy, you have to learn how to do particular techniques, simple techniques but deathly.

Have never had a problem on a tube. My advice is never get into an empty carriage, find a busier looking one late at night. You might get a few drunks smelling of p*ss but you just keep away from them.

London is fine, you just have to keep an eye on your possessions, just using your normal common sense.

If I was being attacked? Call 999 or karate chop them in the windpipe!

Yes, no, yes, don't know!
Have travelled often on the tube at night on a weekend to get the last train home after a night out, it's always busy and can't say I've ever felt unsafe.

I don't feel 100% on the Tube, I have been on a train where some guy started having a go at some woman for no reason and on another that had someone jump in front of it.

Nowhere is completely safe, but risks on the tube are reasonably low.

The risks are greater at night than daytime, but that is the same for everything.

The great advantage of the tube is that, unlike at street level, there are no drunk drivers.
