Your right. In the UK i feel our national identity is being destroyed by the over zealous effort to be 'politically correct'. Everything that once made us who we are is gone.

What do you mean by Democracy ? We all know that all politicians lie most of the time, some just do it better than others. Believe me having travelled the world and lived in most countries for many years at a time its the same everywhere else. But we're all human and some of us do our best to have some sort of beliefs.

What democracy, the only time the government are Democratic is when they want to be voted into power, and it does not matter who you vote in they ALL do whatever they want to do once they are in power irrespective of what we think or want, the war on terrorism is just another excuse to do what exactly what THEY want to do. Until the "It does not hurt quite enough" mentality is taken out of us all then nothing will change.

Where would you rather live, China? North Korea? Zimbabwe? Come on now, it's not perfect but nothing ever is. It's really easy to knock the government they've got a crappy job right now, nothing they do is going to be 'right' for everyone. We live in dangerous times, and also, confusing times, as 'the enemy' is not so easy to identify. I think when our grandparents were fighting in WWII at least they were clear about who the enemy was and what had to be done about it. Not so easy now. Do you think you could do a better job? If so, get involved in politics and stop whining.

I don't think it's being perverted, because I think it is perverted from the beginning.
Democracy gives power to the party that spends the most on the election campaign, in every country and in every election.
Where is the justice in that?

Yes, that had not escaped my attention. By and by, our country will turn into a police state.
The prevailing government at the time always attempts to restrict the population every time there is trouble. I am pretty sure that if they thought they could get away with it, we would not be allowed to leave our homes.

The "conspiracy theorists" predicted this before 9/11. And it will continue to be perverted as long as we vote for Democrats and Republicans.
