Dont you think we should stop giving away all of the hard earned tax dollers to other countries??I agree that we should help other because we have so much, but there are things that need to be done HERE first. We need better schools, hospitals, and more libraries. We need to help feed and clothe the homless, we need more low-cost housing, but nothing EVER seems to get done because we continue to spend all the money! Also, maybe if all those rich co.ck-suckers would pay a little more taxes and quit buying god damn mansions and building ******** golf courses we could afford more!!Is the reason because we are hated so much that we have to give them money just so they dont get together and take us out?Is bush more concerned with winning a popularity contest then with the well-being of his own people??Anybody got an answer?
I apologize if i offended anyone but i just needed to get that out there.

Since you didn't happen to mention which country you're talking about, I will tell you about my country, which is the United States. You did mention Bush, so perhaps you are also an American.

Obviously, not everyone agrees with you.

"A recent Hudson Institute study found that, last year, American citizens voluntarily contributed three times more to help people overseas than did the United States government. This should not surprise us at all, as Americans are generous to those in need, whether here or abroad. There are so many moral, religious, and human reasons to help our fellow men and women in need. "

The vast majority of us really do think that clean drinking water after a tsunami, for example, is probably more important than another library in Des Moines. As is the fact that in third-world countries nearly a million people a year, mostly children, die of measles, a disease which every child in America can be vaccinated against, for free if they can't afford to pay.

Golf courses and mansions have nothing to do with it. If you want another library in Des Moines, what have you done to achieve it? It's not up to "all those rich co.ck-suckers" to provide for me and you, though they do often give large amounts of money for such things. If it's important to you, do something. A million people giving $1 can accomplish exactly what two people giving $500,000 can. And then you end up with something a million people want!

Well its certainly not to be popular...
Even among our own they gripe about us not doing enough.
Part of the reason is to try and buy allies or at least those who won't immediately turn on us.

The amount of foreign aid the U.S. gives other nations each year is equal to one-half of one percent of our annual GDP. Do your research.
