Is the movie good , great , or sucky

I thought it was great, so did my 14 year old daughter. I was suprised at how many boys her age went to see it...There were more boys at the theater than girls....not with parents or girls but groups....All between 14-16....maybe this is the movie to try to meet girls?!?!?!

The acting was completely 'acting-class' style. These are not natural acting performers. Jenna of course, being a Janet Jackson dancer, danced her part. But I couldn't really tell if Channing was faking good or not trying hard enough. I think the climax dancing scene was a disappointment & the 2 different styles of dancing did not blend so well in the choreagraphy. It can & has been done well, but not here. The chemistry was off, but it was good to see the actors actually doing their own physical parts & not using stunt preformers like Flashdance & Footloose. Those movies were more inspirational. I say Save The Last Dance is still the best of any. Dance, acting & story wise.

Should be a wonderful, enjoyable film. Not filled with all of that raunchy, stupid humor you see in so many of today's teenage film. I'd recommend it.
