If that's all you need then you can buy an entry level machine for $300-$500 dollars depeding on specifics and wether you want a laptop or desktop.

Dell offers quality computers at excellent prices and will usually get you your machine inside a week. For even better prices you can also try retailers like TigerDirect or PcInifinity.net but expect shipping to take longer.

If you're just planning on using it for Internet & E-mail, then your best bet would probably be some kind using an Intel Celeron Processor...... For a full package (casing, monitor, etc).... your probably looking at around $500 - $600 (or exchange the $ for £ symbols if in the UK).
For around £220/$220 - £350/$350 you can pick up a "barebones" system and hook it up to your existing monitor and add the Operating system seperately.

For full packages, you're probably best off looking @ HP & DELL

Or if you're up for a challenge, you can build your own..... try the Forums @ http://www.pcpitstop.com for advice.

I bought a Dell for $600.00 less the printer. I wouldn't buy any other brand now that I finally own this Dell. I have had 5 different computers and the deals at Dell.com are excellent. They bundle it with all the programming you select. I highly recommend you go to their website and look them over. My son is a computer tech and he said to stay away from Gateway and Compac.. Good luck, Kevin

$400 or less
Go to this site

From what I saw, two of the expensive ones on this site and up to current standards and yet they are cheap.
