I heard AMD is coming out with a new processor. I think its called the Opteronx64. It should be as good if not better then the Intel Core 2 Duo.

AMD by far is better.A dual core AMD will rock intels world anyday.
Plus for the price and how we all upgrade so often ,AMD's pros out weigh the cons

What do you want to use it for? For everyday users there's really little difference. If you are a high-end gamer then go for the AMD (but not the AMD64).
