Its probably a way to screen out the people that would just post annoying answers (and there are a few on here, aren't there?). Once you get to Level 5, you can go for it. If I were you, I would just answer the questions you feel best qualified to answer and hope for lots of "best answer" points to get you to Level 5 at a quicker pace. Good luck!

It helps prevent web bots from answering a lot of questions per day. If this precaution was not in place there would be advertisments/spam in almost every question from these bots.

Once you get to level 5 you have unlimited answers. You first have to work your way to level 5. That is the rules.
