No. It's considered an ally by the US government.

And the majority of both Democrats and Republicans in office have supported that decision, going back several decades.

I am a Democrat and I don't consider them to be an on the side of the Democratic Party only. After all it is the Bush administration that is still sending them aide in weapons, so it looks like the Republicans are on their side.

Sure do friends can disagree on any thing and still be friends.
Our country has treaties with Israel and many other country's and our political leaders will honor those commitments.
