I'm just wondering if they're any good as an employer, I used to work for Tesco and they were really bad. They treated their staff like crap.

i know someone who used to work for sainsbury and let me tell you they dont treat there staff with any respect they dont want to pay you sick pay when you are sick even if you got rights and when you try to phone them that you are sick they dont even have a good absence line or never listen to it.. if i were you i would get something like a hairdressing or other job like office

this seems a bit of a shot in the dark
the staff at my local tesco seen happy enough although they do seem to have to stand for hours on end which cant be very comfortable.

I can't imagine any of teh big bad supermarkets are any better than each other. Anyway, there are far more ethical ways of earning a living, supermarkets are awful for the environment, look at all those food miles :( Could you in all concience be part of that?

Ha, ive had famiely work at tesco and thats completely true they really do treat ya like sh*t. Try it sainsbrys probly would treat you better and its cleaner too !!

I dont work there myself, but i guess it works like all Chain companys, and it will differ shop to shop.
