There's no contest.... Curly makes the Three Stooges. All the replacements, even his brother Shep, can't compare to him.

I can prove it...

No other Stooge has a song/dance named after them.... "The Curly Shuffle"

And, Shemp was not the replacement Curly was. Shemp was the original stooge. It was him, Moe and Curly and they played back up to a Vaudeville comediane. Shemp became popular in early black and white movies as a character actor and so Moe took over his role and Larry became th emiddle brother so Curly was brought in to fill out the team. It was originally the Howard brothers. Curly's last name is Fine. When Curly got ill they tried Curly Joe for a while but eventually it became obvious that the timing was off and Shemp had to rejoin the team, but by that time Moe had already become the center of the act, so again I say Moe.

I like them all, but moes my favorite. I think my favorite one is called"Hold that lion" it was the only one that had all four of the original stooges in it(Moe, larry, shemp, and curley)
